Here is my first version of this Great song.
I went for a live sound as usual Big Grin !
Version 2
Good mix, I like the 1st version more. You have too much 2k on vocals so they sound harsh.
How did you get that fat kick sound. I think that you boosted something around 40-50 Hz.

I will sort out the 2k in the next closer sounding less live remix ,

Thanks Big Grin

I used multiband compressor on the kick and an 1176 style compressorBig Grin.

nice overall mix don. From a personal preference i reckon you could push lead vox maybe a 1/2-1 db or so. Also i like what you done with the snare..Maybe a smidge too much attack/point....maybe a hair more body needed to balance but these telefunken sessions tend to yield rubbish sounding drums so i can appreciate what you've done

This one is a great challenge,I agree the next version i will bring up the vocals and fix the snare might do another remix.
Thanks Big Grin
A bit much on the overheads but otherwise, this is a good mix. Only other thing would be maybe a tad too much on the lead vocal.

I agree that the kick tends to get lost here. I fixed that by putting about 3dB gain reduction through a gate on the bass guitar and also boosted 4kHz and 8kHz on the kick then ended up having to fiddle far longer than I wanted to to balance the high and low end of the kick. :/ There's always SOMETHING that won't cooperate, isn't there?
