I also like the first version better. The overheads are a little hot, but otherwise this is a really tight well balanced mix. Nice!

First mix is excellent. Issues only exist with the overheads which sounds like a compression artifact somewhere. Interesting handling of the lead guitar with the split. Live feel is spot on without losing the intimacy this song a lyrics demands.

Second mix has change in perspective. Less intimate. More like watching the performance instead of being inside it. Still have the issue with the cymbal crashes.

Both mixes are good and present good looks at the space and the performance. Which one do you think captures the song's performance best?
