Hey guys,

Don't throw me tomatoes, this is my first try at mixing ...

I heard some pretty nice mixes on this board and here is my rendition of this nice song. I assumed that the exercise wouldn't involve fixing things with samples so nothing was added.

Well, very few replies here. When I listen to it now, I must admit it was probably not the best shot at this nice song by far.

I tried a new one, taking more time to automate things and this time didn't use some hard compression on the master bus. I used a demo of Slate Digital FG-X wich sounds really good to my ears.

I also augmented the missing toms with samples from Toontrack Superior Drummer.

Everything is mixed with Cubase Pro 8 with a bunch of Waves (API, CLA Comp, Renaissance).

Hoping to have some replies on this one. Don't hesitate, I am here to learn ...
