Hello all,
I've been listening to some of the mixes and it's great to see other people's interpretations. I asked Mike whether it would be a good idea to upload the mix and master I had for the album and he said that would be fine. so here's my mix and then the mastered track too. As this was the first time for me mixing on Reaper (Moved over from Roland VS2480) I found Mike's book invaluable.
I especially liked the reverb section and I've found the threshold independent transient processor (Transient Monster page 167) great for the acoustic instruments I have. Anyways I hope you find this useful.
I had problems with the bass as many have had, but I wanted a natural sound to it and wasn't overly concerned with hearing every note.
