Another attempt to try to get something presentable.
It's more than presentable, man. I love it. It made me jump on the first drop. The snare (sample?) is so powerful and cuts thru quite nicely and the vocal is so good. I enjoy/learn listening to it.

Thanks for listening. The snare isn't a sample and I felt it was probably a little loud but I'm glad it works for you.
I'll check out your mix when I have a moment. Hopefully by tomorrow.

Cheers
Sounds good Roy

Left tom a bit clicky but It works fine. Vocals sound good and clear tough I feel the highpass could be a bit higher. Just a taste thing
Back vocals work good on that chorus.
Cymbals I feel are a lil too loud for my taste but it doesn't throw the song off which is good.
Solo needs to come up more in your face. Feels like it's at the same volume as the piano and the Snare is overpowering it.

Overall good balance and eq works good.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure I probably dialed in a bit too much attack for the toms. I was fighting with the level of the cymbals and went with them being on the loud side but I could see them coming back more. I always mix the snare too loud. I think I was probably just a bit nervous about the tone of the solo guitar and hid it too much. All good points.

Thanks again,
Cheers.
Hey Roy,

I just listened to your mix and I think (to my ears) it sounds good.

Everything is well balanced (except drums+percussion, see below) and almost a little too well which means that the progress of the title is without surprise. All parts of the title are treated the same way. You could have added a little "action" with the metal-type rhythm guitars which accompany the very wise solo guitar. These rhythm guitars are sorely lacking in bite and, above all, in sound space.
Regarding the drums, I won't return to the over-extensively covered subject of toms on the SonicTramp page - two toms in the center and a tom on the left don't necessarily make for good stereo - but for example, there is a timpani used to mark certain moments that I don't really hear. But it's still good work.
