My mix of this gorgeous song. Would love any feedback.
Really enjoyed this mix...I particularly liked how bold you were with the keyboards - very ethereal. Would love to hear violins up a db or so in intro and outro...their level is great throughout the rest of the song...so a perfect opportunity for (more) automation. Well DoneBig Grin
As an intstrumental it sounds really pretty, lots of space.
But is this specially widened? Sounds kinda... Different on headphones. Oh, and it seems that You left quite a lot of space on the right, or are this my headphones?.

But the vocal... Nah, it sounds pretty dark, backed up, and could use a lil' dessing, and sounds a bit nasal Wink .
And a tad of automation around 3rd minute, the word "tonight" seems to be whispered, and the rest of the phrase to gradually get louder, while here they're at same level - so the beginning seems dark, and the later gets reeaaly bright comparing...

I can hear what you mean I think Ive boosted the mids in the vocal a bit to much; I did like the dark warmth of this but when I listen to it against references it probably is a bit extreme. I probably would have been less inclined to automate certain words if the vocal was better balanced. The mix is wide and when you listen to it in mono alot of guitar high end is gone and the BVs almost dissappear but its always a trade off with this and to be I honest I just went with what I thought sounded best in stereo. All said, maybe I'll have to revisit this one.
