I think that your mix needs to improve on the sound of the drums basicly. Sounds like too gated and overcompressed.

A couple of thoughts:
- in my opinion, the snare lacks a bit of body.
- the choruses are "small". If you bring the brass section up and the congas down maybe that will create more impact and dynamics.
