My main reference was Bob Dylans old "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again". I tried to create sonically and balancewise similar atmosphere, but I didn't follow those 60's panning ideas. Other reference was a bit more modern Robbie Williams. So, I was after a retro mix with a modern touch.

I didn't do any replacing.

The thinner snare came out naturally from my reference choice.
I already have a dynamic EQ on vox, but now with new listen I agree, that vox needs a bit more taming.
