Beautiful song!
Some issues on both snare track and OH track.
(OH track volume dip somewhere 2.00 minutes)
Corrected the "pfffound" on the VOX track at about 1:37 (compare with uncorrected versions)

Not entirely satisfied about my mix yet.

Cheers,
Luc

Update: Final version added in this thread and below in the replies.
Completely new mix, as exercise I gave extra attention to 2 back vocal tracks, based on the original lead vox track. I think that went very well Big Grin

V2
Slightly changed the mix (not the FX)
cleaned the OH in sub low, adapted both kicks to compensate
Acoustic guitars bit louder, slide a tiny hair lower.

Luc

Study on adding back vox, added some bck vox
Changed lead vox level
Changed bass level
OH level and kick front level

Backing vocals are nice addition on this song, but why did you pan them only to the right ? Pan them like this, lower harmonies narrower, but higher ones wider.

Hi Obelix,

Thanks man, appreciate your comment!

You are right for sure, the point is that I got "sound blind" while mixing too long without a break Rolleyes
I think you know this phenomena too hahaha

I will adapt your comments into a revision soon, expect a week or so.

Cheers,
Luc
Like the BVs would be even better if doubled on other side. Nice balance And the difficult snare sounds pretty goodSmile
Final version
Complete new mix, added 2 new back vox using another engine :-)
Its been a nice case study to add artificial back vocals and try to bring the best out of difficult tracks.

Cheers,
Luc

Hi Luc

sounds a great mix , really nice and smooth. I really like the extra vocals but for me they are a bit to forward and maybe drop them sometimes in phrases to add a different dimension. If they were dropped back a couple of notches as it seems to mask the music on my headphones. Acoustic guitar possibly could do with a little more centre volume as it keeps drawing me to the left , but that ,maybe as I am listening on my phones and there is no diffusion.

awesome mix though, did you use outboard hardware ?
