I think your mix has a great tone in comparison to mine. Mine sounds way too bright. The only thing I think this needs is to bring down the bass. It's way too distracting for the rest of the mix.
Also the cymbals are coming a lil too bright to me. Toms and snare are on point.

Great take! just the bass really needs to come down. And those cymbals brightness too because in the part of the orchestra, they are overpowering the guitar solos.
I'd listen to same genre songs so you can see what I mean.

Yes, good point about the bass. She is quite difficult to tame.
Concerning the cymbals precisely in the transitions, I wanted to effectively cut out in an ostentatious way the surge of electric guitars.
It's true that, sometimes, a little extra decibel can quickly make the cup overflow...But that's what mixing is, right?
