I listened to alongwayhome_lowshelf -3db.mp3. It feels good. Though I'd agree that it could use more 'ear candy' to give it more depth. It doesn't need to be doused in reverb or effects but it could have a little more depth. Plus, it's a pretty plodding waltz and really could use help keeping the listener interested. Other than that to overall tonality and balances feel good.
