Rebuild The Evil: 'Burial Of Silence
#1
Here is version 1 ,
2 hour mix , Needs some more work .
My mix overall eq balance was inspired by one of my daughters CD of this band which I saw live many years ago .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_hUI_fbKe8

Version 2 some level adjustments vocals lower and de-essed the overheads at around 7k and 10-12k !

Hey Don

Very good work for 2 hours!
Just a few things for me

*voice is very loud and too wet. This could be less. I feel like it pushes this genre more to a pop side where vocals are really upfront.
*would have liked the drums to be more punchy. It's sounding thinner than what guitars would make me want to hear.

Very well balance though just those few things that In my opinion could improve.

Hi Don

Really nice balance
Guitars and Bass sound great!
I agree with shul on the drums except I really like the kick if it were brought up a tad.
Great Job!!

Cheers

NIce balance. Sounds good. I only don't like snare and toms sounds. Vocal is too looud for my taste. Kick is good, in nice relation to a bass.

Hi theDon,
As fellows already mentioned vocal needs to pull back a bit.
Balance is very good, and the snare i agree that you may have another look and go for a different tone.
Anyway, very nice mix. cheers!

Cheers, Thedon!

My fellows above me said pretty much everything you need to improve this mix. One thing that I'd like to point is that I liked what you did with the OH, maybe give it a little more brightness (?)
Keep rocking man

Here you have my other mixes!

Thanks for having a listen shul ,
Listening back I agree and will bring the vocals down and more punch on the drums ,Do you think it maybe a phase issue ?
which is one thing I didn't check !
