Stiil mixing - Still Flying
#1
Been away from the mixing for a while, so it was fun to try get a grip on this great song. Hope I didn't ruin it totally :-)

Updated with V2. Thought the guitar was little invisible in first mix.

to me it sounds there is room for some (low)mid-power in this mix. and the leadguitars need to be placed in the right spot (they were given us misplaced). happy puzzling!

you can listen how the guitars are supposed to be if you listen to the 'official' version of the song (fe. on YouTube).

Hello Cass..

Balances overall are getting there however.. there is a lot of reverb everywhere pluse the low freq. are clipping really bad. I think you have to rethink this one and start from scratch. Rhythm guitars are below the bass and it should be the other way around. Vocal reverb really obvious i think fixing the levels on everything else will make the voice seat better. Kick definitely needs to be sampled.. the solo guitar is out of tempo in the solo section. The vocal is also out of tempo there too.

hope it helps.
