Nice mix, i like the dynamics in the piano, the lower mids makes him feel like he plays real stable sort of. I would like a bit more lowend in the bass and less mids in that instrument but it feels real clean.

I did aim for a natural sound so there's no EQ or compressor on anything here just a tiny bit of limiting on the master (1-2db). Cheers!

Great mix, however being a musician myself I am always annoyed by hearing left hand of the pianist on the left side of the mix and right hand on the right side It makes me feel like I am standing next to the piano I prefer audience perspective in piano recordings, cheers!

Thanks for the comments. This is an interesting case sice I'm a drummer myself and I always like to hear the drums from audience perspective, but for our keyboard player, hi's perspective is from his own. So there are always different perspectives on this. Anyway, for this track I did go for what the recordings provided (so no channel swapping on the piano). Cheers! Otherwise I simply quit listening to it ;D Also hard panned toms are super funny, why the drums are in the middle and toms are on the left side of the guitarist - I always wonder I think I listen too much to Kind of Blue so please take my comments with a grain of salt(15-06-2021, 01:18 AM)mufoid Wrote: Great mix, however being a musician myself I am always annoyed by hearing left hand of the pianist on the left side of the mix and right hand on the right side It makes me feel like I am standing next to the piano I prefer audience perspective in piano recordings, cheers!Hello mufoid!
