I just want to thank you, first, for doing a mix of our track! We've got more on the way, for sure, and look forward to hearing people mix them!
Here's a few things I like:
1) The drums are punchy
2) The vocals sit very nicely!
3) The synth blend is pretty much perfect.
4) The bass tone is perfectly crunchy!
Here's a few things a few things to improve on:
1) The slowdown part around 1:45 is really fun to do and I highly recommend you try it! I explain how it work in the readme.
2) The guitar tones are a little weak, they could definitely have some more midrange in them. Especially around like 400 to 600hz where a lot of the warmth of the guitar tone really glues the mix together. Listening to the original, I actually think your drums are far better but the guitar tone feels a lot thinner in your mix.
Overall, I really enjoyed your mix and it was a pleasure to listen to! But don't be afraid of that midrange, my friend. MekaPhil mixes live and die by the mids.
Thank you for mixing it, and I look forward to hearing more!
