A bit rusty since its been awhile since I've had the chance to mix some Mekaphil, real challenging mix to do, enjoy Big Grin
I just want to thank you, first, for doing a mix of our track! We've got more on the way, for sure, and look forward to hearing people mix them!
Here's a few things I like:
1) The drums are punchy
2) The vocals sit very nicely!
3) The synth blend is pretty much perfect.
4) The bass tone is perfectly crunchy!

Here's a few things a few things to improve on:
1) The slowdown part around 1:45 is really fun to do and I highly recommend you try it! I explain how it work in the readme.
2) The guitar tones are a little weak, they could definitely have some more midrange in them. Especially around like 400 to 600hz where a lot of the warmth of the guitar tone really glues the mix together. Listening to the original, I actually think your drums are far better but the guitar tone feels a lot thinner in your mix.

Overall, I really enjoyed your mix and it was a pleasure to listen to! But don't be afraid of that midrange, my friend. MekaPhil mixes live and die by the mids.
Thank you for mixing it, and I look forward to hearing more!

Hey, I pretty much mixed this with stock cubase DAW plugins so I didn't have any good ampsims at my disposal so it was really hard getting a guitar/bass tone but I have since downloaded all of my tools again and will be doing a proper mix because this to my ears is a bad sounding mix. Thanks for the kind words Smile

Any time! Happy to help motivate. One thing I suggest doing with the amp sim in cubase is, really crank the midrange knob up. Especially if it's one of the more scooped sounding amps, you can get a lot of life in it. Another thing I'd suggest is using really nice IRs, especially darker IRs. Nick Leonard has some free ones you can acquire on his discord, if you have that:

You can do a lot with an IR loaded instead of the Stock Cubaase Cabs! I highly recommend. I even did some blends for it.
But even if you don't use those specific IRs, there are so many free IRs you can get out there to REALLY crank up the guitar tone.

Hope that helps!
