A good sounding and balanced mix. One thing for me is that it lacks a bit of energy in the chorus. Anyway a good job. Cheers!

Nice mix.
Drums and bass seem a bit hot for this tune and kick and bass are competing for space and the kick is losing. Snare is too hot and a bit boxy a bit of sizzle on top and a touch more plate maybe. The loop was a tough one to get to any degree of satisfaction so not a slam the snare took a bit of taming. No 2nd drum loop which left the build a bit lacking in dynamics. Guitars sound nice but disappear in the chorus and the vibe just withers. Vocals sound nice but all up the middle it seems panning would provide a bit more dimension. If you're not automating things that is a practice you need to apply. Anyway just an old mans perspective. Cheers Moto

bass too loud. I like the snare sound and verb on it.
Vocals work very nice and the guitars left and right are placed in the right spot but I think when the acoustic comes in it comes too hot on the left side. Maybe a bit les 3k on it would make it a bit less prominent. I love the ooooh's in the bridge. Overall this is a very great chill song to mix. Mixed mine ages ago and I remember there being a tone of resonating freq. on many tracks. I don't hear them on your mix so I think you did a good job on the frequency work. It sounds good keep it up. |
