Forkupines - Sleep By The Fire, Bloom In Water - hecdav24 - 10-11-2015 Hi, this is my first submission and I would appreciate any critiques, pointers, advice, any thing at all!! RE: Forkupines - Sleep By The Fire, Bloom In Water - wurstdrummer - 14-11-2015 Hey hecdav, I think your mix sounds a bit heavily mid-scooped, there's little life in it. But it's really decent for a first contribution! I think if you let it breath a little more it will be fine. One more thing, watch your snare and drum bus compressors. Seems like the cymbals jump up every time the snare is being hit. Just a matter of adjustment Cheers! RE: Forkupines - Sleep By The Fire, Bloom In Water - hecdav24 - 16-11-2015 Wurstdrummer, Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my mix and responding. Making the adjustments!! Cheers! RE: Forkupines - Sleep By The Fire, Bloom In Water - hecdav24 - 19-11-2015 Updated submission. Looking forward to any and all critiques. RE: Forkupines - Sleep By The Fire, Bloom In Water - Nos - 22-11-2015 Nice balance across the top end. Good mix between synth and guitars in choruses. I think the lo-end elements need quite a bit more level and punch. Enjoyed listening |
