Hi!

This is my first post on the forum and the first mix I did for one of the cambridge multi tracks.

I've just finished audio school in january and found out about the multi tracks so I thought it would be a good idea to give them a try to keep myself practicing and getting better Smile

I used VMR for almost all EQ and compression, except for the vocals where I used the VMR 116 and an outboard baxandall EQ that I built last week to add some nice air to them. (really cool to see something you built yourself working). I didn't eq the guitars a lot and didn't compress them at all. They sound amazing IMHO. I separated Lows and Mids/Highs on the bass and treated them separately so I had more control over the low end.
The song is really catchy! Love it!
I don't like the snare, it's too loud/aggressive and too "processed" for my taste. I would turn the drums down and the guitars up. Oh, and you totally screwed up the solo part. I have never heard of a guitar solo where the background choir was LOUDER then the guitar Smile The melody guitars in the end are also buried underneath the vocals which is kinda lame given the fact that they add a nice and interesting melody to the last chorus =)

other then that its cool & punchy.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'll try to improve on that!
