Hi all!
My attempt in mixing the track. Interesting sounds for sure.
Any kind of feedback is appreciated.
Cheers!

Edit: New version added (V2).
Hi, Your balances sound pretty good!
To me the mix lacks a bit of depth. Also watch out for the 2-3k harshness (mostly guitars?) Perhaps the drums can use a bit more definition.
Nice work!

Thanks dude for writeback. i appreciate it.
I added another try with some touch of reverb to the instruments and play around with the faders to try to have more control in the harsh area that u mentioned. Hope to see u forward in futures mixes. Cheers!
Hi Unknow for me I would like vocal a bit drier, also as mention above too much cut on the lows on solo guitars.
I also think kick has is a little sub heavy and needs more definition, maybe a little boost around 5k to push click through the Guitars.
Just started mixing this one, and finding the over heads cymbal heavy? any thoughts.

Hi dude! Thanks for write your thoughts of the mix. really i appreciated it.
To me, the original recorded drums felt a bit weaker, to be honest i had some struggles with them but i wasn't really sure in using samples, i wanted to only use the original tracks, and i really boosted the 5k area to the kck like 9.5 dB's. The solo's gtrs, maybe i went too much with the hi-pass and the overs the only think that i made to them was some cutting and decreasing gain to the frequencies that i felt it wasn't necessary, some low cut, lower the highs with hi-shelf and a at around the 500Hz some bell to low the ambience sound. Thanks again for check it out. I will hear yours as well. Cheers!
second mix sounding better.

You can manage the drums sound better by flipping the phase on some tracks. Sometimes flipping the phase on the overheads for example helps. Other times fliping the phase on kick helps. You should try some of that out for a better drum sound. My mix is 100% original drum tracks and I believe I flipped the phase of the overheads to make it sound better. Also that room track for the most part was useless for presence. I only used it for a bit of room reverb but barely.

I don't hear much separation on the stereo field in your track. you should do some hard panning on some tracks especially if they are guitars.
Keep it up second mix is an improvement in my opinion.
Thank you for thoughts on overheads. see what you mean about kick. I agree with using original drums it seem to me that is part of the learning process is using the real tracks ,using samples is quick , but also a little lazy.

Hey Shul, nice to meeting you.
Thanks a lot for the good advices. I actually did that, messing around with the phase on drums, comparing with the overs and stuff (maybe i forget to flip something). I use the room track to mainly give to the drums some "dimension" maybe i add too much of that and maybe that's why my drums lost some upfront presence. On the subject of the hard panning, i kinda like to play with all the space, not everything hard panned 'cos i think i can get some troubles with the sounds and i think that some sounds/notes can be buried only leave hard panning the rhythm gtr. I like to have clarity with the instruments maybe also that's why i can see some feedbacks that i overuse the hi-pass filter. But don't get me wrong i appreciated it your good thoughts and form everybody here, it helps me a lot. good to see how new perspective ears hear the mix. I will check yours for sure. Hope to see you forward in futures mixes.
Cheers!

Yeah dude, 100% on the subject on using samples. I will check u'r mix to hear what was the approach that u made.
