It's a great song! just super fun to mix. Here is my take on it. Feel free to destroy it.. always willing to hear others perspective.
I like the snap on the kick, the the Rhythm guitar lower mids clash a little with bass, would like to hear a little more 10k boast on the hard pan guitars in chorus just so they poke a bit more. I like the energy that`s coming through on the solo bit near the final chorus . guitar just before solo area that plays by its self could carry more definition.
the little fills in verses guitars bit need a bit of depth short delay of pre delayed verb a matter of my taste i guess.
overall nice balance tidy job !!
Hi dude! Just paying back with feedback to your mixes. Smile
Second mix it's better to me. Previos one had the rhythm gtr bit louder, it made me to lower the vol,
also liked the sound of drums on the second version, it has a touch "dimension" (don't know how to call it) that previos one, the mix1 sound it ok but a bit "flat" to me, also with more fx's at the right level that it gives more fun. Just the ld vox needs a tiny touch of more de-eesing but nothing to worry about it. the part of the last solo sounds real good. Nice mix! Hope to see you forward in futures mixes!
Cheers!
Thanks for input guys.
Listened mix 2
I like the drum snap.
I feel a bit closed the overall mix, I prefere it more open. May be that's on the rythm guitars (solos and strummed sounds ok) and the voice.
Also the guitar solo break, dunno, does not convince me 100%.
Anyway, overall sounds quite good
Hey Shul,
General, I like your mix. I do think you could be more aggressive with your guitar tones. I think it would match the presentation of your vocals better. It is a tough balancing act for sure. I also think your guitar break drops too much energy as the song is really starting build at that point. Minor points as overal,l everything sounds good.
Quick listen. V2. Not in the best mental space.

Sounds good. The rhythm guitars (1 and 1DT?) can be a little thinner. They're taking you a bit too much room.
I thing the vocals could do with a cut in the 1-2 khz region. The song overall has a bit of a buildup in the (upper?) mids. It gives the song energy but can also be a bit much. Or, it might just be my ears.
more aggresive eq on mix 3. is that a less boomy mix and more clear mix? referenced the "can't stop" by chilli peppers .. that's a super bright mix.
All I can say, Shul, is PERFECT!
Mix 3 comes alive for me on my playback. The way the guitars now surround the vocal adds width and depth to your mix. I am really hearing the song in your mix now. Really nice adds here, sir. Excellent.
