Very tricky mix to get in the ballpark this one. I'm also not really great at the modern, super processed metal kinda sound either so I went more along the lines of early 00's metalcore such as Killswitch Engage. I'm not usually one to blame the tracks that are supplied but there are a few tuning issues on this one that I don't really have a solution for, so I just kind of leaned into it.

Drums are just the supplied tracks and the guitars are reamped. Found it hard to get the level of aggression and it not become fatiguing. Really vibing on delay throws currently so, as with my last couple of mixes, they're all over this one also haha!

True to form I post my first mix full of confidence and then on subsequent listening realise something obviously terrible, so here is revision 1.

Went back through and tweaked a number of things, rode some automation and balanced a little better, feeling fairly good about this one now. It's one of those things where I want it to sound really aggressive but also maintain clarity and not be overprocessed, a tricky road to walk.
