Hey dude,

Loved the intro, very vibey! But the smash into the first chorus was a little lack lustre. I think a bigger dynamic change would emphasise the mood change.

Also, I'm picking a lot of distortion up. I'm not sure if its on the master buss or just on the drum buss. I'd guess the master, mostly the low-mids.

Otherwise ... really really great mix. Honeslty, I think you nailed the vibe. It could do with a little more polish maybe, but honestly its a vibey, pleasant listen.

I'm sure Andrew would be proud.

Thank you very much Quathamer.Yes you can hear the distortion because I used it on masterbus.(It comes from the mid-side tape saturation but open the mix very good)You're very kind.Glad you like my mix.
Hi Mammy, the basic balances between the elements during the song are there for the most part, so good job on that.

However, the mix is really over-compressed and pretty distorted in general. For example, the intro vocals and the first "down" verse is really loud, and as a consequence there is nowhere to go headroom-wise when the full band comes in, so the vocals dominate the mix, and the band seems "small" by comparison. The whole mix gets "squashed" down in volume and the drums lose all their transient attack.

Try controlling the peaks of the elements at a track level and even out the dynamics there first. Maybe mix the loudest part of the song first, and make sure they are not presenting too much level to your mix buss compressor and limiter. Then mix the quieter sections of the song, using automation if necessary to bring them down in level so that they are proportionate to the louder sections of the song.

I hope that makes sense.
