Hi mikej,
I listened to your version a few days ago, and if you hadn't commented on my mix, I wouldn't have noticed you've re-written the drums and bass.
The groove is tighter, and I like the guitar tone, which I think is cleaner than my later version.
Love the vocal FX...
For my taste, I would beef up the snare just a tad, at some point I'm missing the fundamental

I'd forgotten all about it actually! The hi-hats are probably the main giveaway. I tried my best, however the original hi-pattern is insane. I was kind of hoping no one would notice. I remember now that also I spent a lot of time chopping and moving the guitar parts about to get them tight too, especially the sections around the 1:50, and 2:30 mark.
You are probably right regarding the snare. I don't think this mix is actually all that great, as I really did struggle with it. I think I'd probaby listened to it too much doing all the reprogramming and stuff. I recall getting all the gain staging right was particularly tricky as it's quite dynamic overall. I'd never really attempted reprogramming and editing a mix like that before. It was hard work, but quite good fun.

Quick edit to add that I thought I might have possibly blended the bass and drums. I just checked though and the original drum and bass tracks are actually all muted for the mix.
