Hi there,

Thinking about what can be improved i thought that Feedback from DaimonB himself would be absoluteley phenomenal.
As there isn´t any feedback anytime soon, i take the freedom to address some things that i noticed over the time mixing all 4 of his Tracks.

There are some issues with the way he is recording his Guitars for example... Too much Distortion that kills every bit of dynamic, the Clean Guitars where too clicky. (Mostly everything needed to be re-amped btw.)...
He also tends to overdo effects on all of his Bass/Key/Pad stuff that causes Phase issues due to too much widening. I mean, you can work with it, but the time fixing issues with the material takes almost half of the time that should be spent on mixing...

Please don´t be offended by my comments, i mean well and i think his songs are very good and fun to mix as i really love this Genre. I mean well.
DaimonB, if you´re reading this feel free to contact me!!!

So, here it is, still some issues, but i can´t hear anything anymore today, Enjoy!
Midrange is way too cluttered, need to have some separation between the instruments. You can either EQ the individual instrument busses to tame crossovers or use panning to make the mix wider.

I know, it´s the guitars... i was too lazy to rework them yet.
I will try some re-amping as soon as i have the time and a pair of fresh ears.
Thanks for your Feedback!
After looking at the tracks again, I realized that there's a synth pad under the guitars, that my be what's cluttering it. SO maybe just an EQ scoop to separate it.
I like the way the drums drive the song while not being to much. I do agree that the mids are to cluttered and a little to powerful in the 3k and 10k areas.
Otherwise good mix!
Cheers

I know, thats why it´s so hard to fit the guitars in. As from the Arrangements point of view in the Refrain it makes no sense to have this Pad Sound buried under the heavy distorted Guitars... ...Didn´t have the time and the ears yet to try somethingn to solve this problem...

Thanks, much appreciated.
I was afraid to might having overdone the Lowend from the Drums. These Days I practice heavily Low-End Mixing in MetalCore Tracks to see with how much you can get away with...I´m glad it fits.  Big Grin

Well, what can I say... All of this is true. I suck at music production and had no idea what I'm doing while making this track. Producing this was a nightmare. That's all from me.

I don't think the productions suck at all, quite the opposite in fact.  For what it's worth I really rate them highly and they deserve every success.  The songs really connect. The library mixes are killer and really do stand up and hold their own against other commercial tracks in the genre that I've referenced.

Mixing aside, I feel the OP's soft skills could perhaps do with a little work though...

I'm not sure the original post quite came across as perhaps was intended?

Cheers!

I´m really sorry if i offended anyone.
The provided Song is absolutely awesome and deserved every attention, thats why i expressed my thoughts about the provided Raw Material.
To be honest, i think that the Original Mix could be so much better with better Raw Material and a little more attention to detail. I was just trying to help.
Again, i´m sorry.

To Daimon,
I really love your track and I hope I didn't step on your toes too much. I think you are definetely on the right track, keep it up!!!

Cheers
