Firstly I want to thank the band for uploading these tracks. These are some of the best, more professionally produced tracks I've seen around here. Please post more!!

A few notes on the mix:

No limiting, but tried to mix it for loudness.
The guitars sounded a bit fizzy, too much information on the high end that seemed unnecessary. I processed them all through bx-shredspread because it adds body and weight removing the airy frequencies of the guitars.
The bassist is a killer player!
The drum track is another killer. I didn't use samples and focused on giving the snare a prog-metal sound, but a little more dirty. I used the room track as a "dirt track" so to speak, and added my own room track.
The voice was very dynamic and would benefit from finding a better matching microphone. I struggled quite a bit with it because it tended to sound really harsh on the high end with very little processing, but in the end I found the right key using devil-loc to place it in the mid-range in a way that seemed fitting for the song.
There's a lot of automation in my mix and I think it helped me out a lot dealing with the three different guitar tracks.
Overall, I think the reference mix is a bit too wet, so I tried to clean it up and use verb and delay consciously. My mix also has a guitar/bass room, but much dryer, and the delays and verbs of the voice are focused and don't get in the way. The snare (and toms as well) has a dedicated plate reverb because I felt the drum groove needed it.

I hope you enjoy listening to it. Any notes, comments and feelings about the mix are very, very welcome!

EDIT: Revision 1 - Now with low end!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used EQ to carefully introduce the low end that was missing in the mix. Most of it is on the mix bus, but there are also some adjustments in the bass, guitars and kick. I de-essed the voice (using the awesome debess from airwindows) and added a little bit more of 10k now that the esses went out of the way.
This mix is on the right track but one huge thing that sticks out to me is all the low end that seems to be missing, the guitars are missing alot of the 100hz range and the bass is missing alot of the more upper bass range aswell and the kick seems rather thin. Perhaps your monitoring is giving you a false image , also the vocal has a bit too much essing going on but its no big deal, fix the low end and this mix will be banging. Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I just moved to a new location and I'm still not used to this room at all.
The mix definitely lacks bottom end, but luckily it seems to be a problem that can be rather easily adressed in the mix bus with a bit of M/S eq. I've tried a couple approaches and it all seems to work pretty good. I'll give it a little more time to choose the best fix and post the results. Cheers!
Added a revision with low end.

Hey bro,

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the stellar work you've done with our tracks. For some context, I'm the bassist of the band, and also happened to double up as the sound engineer for this song. Your mix resonated with me deeply, and in many ways, I prefer it to my own mix - possibly with the exception of the guitars in the intro, but that's more a matter of personal taste.

I especially love the richness and power of your mix, while it remains restrained and exceptionally balanced across the entire frequency spectrum. It's impressive how even with all its strength and density, the mix doesn't sound rough or overloaded. Honestly, it's probably the best mix on the forum, no offense to the other participants.

I read all the feedback and comments, even if I don't always respond. Taking this opportunity, I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to read my message. I will definitely upload more multitracks soon.

Once again, huge props for your passion and professionalism in mixing

Hey Artem!

Thanks so much for the kind words! It means much more than you may think.
I have been away for a minute.  Smile
I had to stop mixing because I had to move around for work during these past couple years, but I've been listening to more music than ever.
Listening back to my mix I think I could've done it even better. I'm really looking forwad to mixing more of your tracks.
