Know what you mean about the vocal, it is strong enough to stand on its own, and brings a more intimate feel, but I still miss the other vocal layers when there not there.

good mix. I think the drums are a bit too compressed. Really liked the guitars but was disappointing at the weak guitar solo toward the end before last chorus. I liked the sound of everything but feel that some compromises were made with the organs. The song seems to be begging for them when I listened to your mix. I listened on ear buds but the bass might could use some tightening up. A little 200 - 400 heavy.
