I like your edit of the intro. It does feel s bit long as is. I've resisted the temptation to insert hats, but I think you made it work. Did you play with leaving them out of the verses? Like you, I've been selective of which bass part is playing at a given time. I picked them the other way around though, but I really like your decision as well. It keeps the energy steadier. Very choice guitar solo tone near the end. Is that a chorus effect?

Drums sound good and in place. Not sure about that chime/splash sound though. What's that sound that comes in first under the lyrics "I am confusion now" in the first verse? That's interesting. Going into the second verse there's a burp on the kick drum. If you look closely you'll notice that the timing is off the grid until the next chorus. I edited out the extra kick and put it back on the grid fwiw.

I'm new to mixing, but not to music, and listened on Sony MDR-7506s.
Don!

I dig this mix. It has the feel and vibe we were going for (maybe a bit drier than our verb plastered version) but definitely has vibe and tone. As lazy as it sounds, I'm not as worried about minutia in this song, in terms of timing or pitch (i could do with a little more auto tune on myself, but you know. . . we may have had a few sips while recording) but in terms of layering of levels, and early digital grit, you hit the mark.

Really nice work, and I hope you enjoyed mixing it!
