In the 2nd mix it feels like the kick and the bass are fighting a lot

Your first mix has a lot of reverb on the vocals, probably a tighter and shorter reverb would have sounded better with some delay in the background
Balance is really good. Snare isn't sitting in the right space. Maybe try a different reverb there. Mix 1 definitely was the better of the two!
