replaced the drum and bass sounds with the included midi.
used the guitar DI tracks and used different tones.
added some stuff as well and had some fun.

Please for the love of god get your Drum overheads/toms/hihat panned correctly. You are currently mixing from behind the kit. Give my mix a listen and hear what you are missing. Keep at it brother, you will get there.
What you're talking about is pretty subjective. But, as I was going for a more modern sound having the kit panned drummer perspective is the norm. If it was a live sound I would go for audience perspective but I prefer to jam out like I'm behind the kit and not in front of it. Thanks for listening.
As a drummer i totally get what you are saying. And yes it is subjective.
Some of my favorite albums are mixed from a drummers perspective. I never really noticed it until a fellow mix engineer pointed it out and ever since then i cant stand to listen to those mixes LoL. It is really rad to hear everyone's different approach to the song though. Keep striving to become great and you will be. Peace
