Duh, that was a hard one. Not sure if it's worth sharing, but well, here's my 2nd mix ever. I feel there's a lot I've got to learn cause I hear a lot of mistakes, but I can't get rid of them. Think I'm gonna try a lighter song next time Smile
Hi Kirshach! Sweet mix. I would try to get some mud off of the kick and the the drum kit over all. It sounds a bit muffled up and lacks definition. The ride is a bit too high up in the mix though, maybe if you drop it down a dB or two and throw some more EQ at the kick and snare. Otherwise a steady mix. I like the lead vocal sound.
Thank you for kind words!
I totally agree with you on the drums, they might be my biggest headache. It must be weird, but I just really do not like them as an instrument. Therefore it's very hard for me to make them sound good. I think I'll have to practice with them a lot until I'll finally be able to place and eq them right. Thank you once again! Smile

Hi again! When I first mixed these drums they sounded okay-ish, they lacked punch however. Then I had a look at the waveform of the tracks, starting with the overhead mics and then aligned all other drum tracks (nudging them to the right) so they were all phase coherent, and that really affected the sound. They instantly became more punchy. Try that yourself and tell me if it works out for you!

PS. I also flipped the phase on BOTH the kick drum tracks, they seemed out of phase with the rest of the drum kit somehow.

Yeah, I've done same stuff Smile
As far as remember there were 3 (maybe 4) tracks where I had to flip the phase
