I am a student at Full Sail University looking to become a mix master. Here is my mix for 'Iron Sheik' by Dry Clean Only.

I mixed this song in about 1-2 days. No samples were used, and there wasn't too much mastering done (light limiter, a touch of EQ, etc.). Crank up the volume!

I tried going for a more modern sound. Didn't like the style of the official mix (no offense).

Hi Nick, I like your mix. Instrumentally it sounds very good, although the snare is getting a bit lost during the choruses.

I think the vocal ambience is a little too much all the way through the song. I like the effect you got with the stereo echos on the vocal, but I think you could use them a bit more sparingly - perhaps automating them to come in at times to provide more excitement.
