So part of being a producer and a audio engineer is using your ears to create something unique, i hear alot of people tried to stay close to original and i respect that.
I am probably going to get hate for this, but with the drum sound, i bussed them, the mixed version of the snare i ran in parallel with compression and reverb, then i used a transient compressor on the drum buss, i also rerouted the rhythm guitars through BIAS and used a Foo fighters preset dropping the volume and gain to give it a gritty tone. but i did this for uniqueness and thats what i thought would suit the sound and the sound taking into account the raspy vocals in the chourus. so dont shoot me down for it. I would love constructive Criticism. Let Me Know what yous think.
