Hello! My first mix here, I was bored so I tried this.
I don't usually listen to trash metal.
I used no reference tracks, just by ear.
I used no reverb, this is dry using just the overheads (room mic muted, Hihat track muted)
I guess it should have reverb for that old school trash sound but I'm lazy (and it's 2:30 in the morning
)
No compression on tracks, just EQ.
Guitar is amplitube
Slight sidechain compression Kick > Bass and Snare > Guitar.
On master bus: bx_digital for MID/SIDE (mono mix is terrible)
No limiting (just the peaks max 0.5db )
I would change the snare sound and add ambiance but this was just for fun.
It was fun and this guy plays like a badass!
