Let me know, I went through this quickly.
very thin. not enough mids or low, feels like just a bunch of high frequencies.
Okay I'll beef it up. Thanks.

BTW this is a thrash song so if you're referring to the guitars they're supposed to be scooped.
Let me know if this is better?

What do you think of your mix?

It has more midrange than before and little less high end in the guitars. I would like a little more high end in the guitars now, but I mean very little. I also think I could do better on the bass, not happy with the bass at all.
Hello,

Sounds like there is too much mud.
I think it comes from the bass guitar, check the bass and low-mid range.
The kick is too loud.
Guitars are too midrangy for my taste Smile

There's not enough low end on the guitars or body.
I think you attenuated 300hz, 500 hz and 1k sacrificing the character of the midrange for clarity. There is too much 8/10k energy making the mic thin and harsh.

There needs to be glue in this mix, the snare sound disconnected from the kit. Where there toms in this mix? I don't remember hearing them in yours.

Try making room for the bass kick relationship frequency wise. meaning. if you boost 70hz on the kick than notch that area on the bass slightly to give room for the kick. Same goes for the rest of the instruments. what you do for one instrument will have an effect on another, think about what you're trying to accomplish here. In no way is this mix muddy its quite the opposite. Its not a race, its a learning tool. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Precision and speed will come with time.
