Hi All,
First mix as I am usually more into music producing, but have always really been interested in the mixing side of the process - especially after reading Mike's book.
I found the drums nice to mix in this track, the ride hits just came straight out, but was taken back by the loud cymbal crashes, which I found hard to get right without dulling them down too much.
I used a touch of psycho-acoustics on the bass as I found mixing some of the low-mids out of the electric guitars to make room, killed their energy.
I didn't do much in the way of audio effects, bit of verb on the vocals and a small bit of distortion on the guitars, which I panned separately around 40-50% left/right to give them some stereo presence.
Would be great to get some feedback!
