Hi folks. I'm a guitar player and a newbie at mixing. First hats off to the band as the song itself is so beautiful and i've enjoyed mixing every bit of it . I'm not a pro, just a bedroom rocker trying to get better everyday and hope to get some feedback from you friends. Thanks
Hi picassographic
At first your compression of mastering is much too hard, loudness is good, but not everything ;P
you can feel it at 0:43 when drums and bass are starting to play alone, than the voice becomes louder that´s a result of a to deep set threshold and a to long set release time.
I agree It sounds quite compressed overall on 2 bus and on some individual tracks especially bass .I had this idea "oh use compressor NO MATTER WHAT on 2-buss". Maybe I couldnt make the right settings on comp but sometimes It's just cleaner to use a fast limiter on 2-buss espeially on fast metal mixes. Or just leave it to mastering eng. Smile

Thanks for your time and criticizing,
