I mixed and posted a version of this song awhile back. I just came back to it to do a better job at it. This time I took only the DI tracks and drum samples to start with a blank slate since I thought the guitars were a tad too fuzzy for my liking. I used Positive Grid Bias on the guitars, and TSE BOD with the bass on a split track. Just basic EQ and compression on the drums with a parallel ny drum bus. Used Ozone plugins on everything and its all done with bus mixing. Sweetened it up abit on the master bus after the rough mix/before the fine tweaking. Also, did you happen to do any panning for the drums? For me it feels like everything is straight down the middle. The synths get lost a little bit but isn't the biggest of deals in my opinion. I do think the guitar sound is a bit cleaner and more clear with your mix as well. By the way, I like what you did with the extra vocals in the background, that was really cool. Nice work =)
