Hi all,

here's my mix of this cracking little pop/rock song. I struggled with the piano a fair bit, opting to just spread it right out to the far reaches of the stereo field. I ran the guitar through a pre amp to give it some more body as i felt it was a little thin. The drums, well, theres a lot going on here. I added a side chained sine wave to the kick for some more sub to counter act the heavy bass, and also tuned the snare in the same manner. The vocals were IMO recorded a little hot, through what sounds like a compressor, maybe just a pre. so a very mild amount of processing was added to the vox.

Hey Peter,

Nice work on your mix! You can tell things are pretty well balanced. My only real comments are that it sounds just a little 'thick' in some areas. I think it's mainly drums (kick, snare) & a little on the main vocal. I'm hearing it at around 160, 215, & 380 Hz, I just pulled a little out at these frequencies, and it seems to 'open it up' a bit. There doesn't seem to much low end on your kick - was that on purpose? But nice work overall
