I Am Alright

Just thought I might share my take on this song. I mixed it in Pro Tools using stock plug-ins only.

Hello. Did you use headphones to mix?
Here are my observations

*intro guitar could come up in volume to feel more part of the mix.
*voice sounds good.
*drums sound like there part of a different recording. The toms are way too loud in comparison with the snare ND kick.
*kick is barely present the bass is swallowing it big time.
*bass too loud and is causing problems in your balancing.

Overall it's not bad. Keep it up.

Thank you so much for your comment! I completely agree with you.

Well, I actually did use headphones.

And I actually re-did my entire mix using monitor speakers, which, I think, produced a much better result. So I am going to post my new mix after this.

I had not read your comment when I did my new mix, so I don't know if you would be happy hearing it. I feel that at least some of the problems you mentioned have been rectified. What do you think?
