This was faster than I thought it might be, though I did decide that there was no way I was going through 20+ tracks each of drums and vocals to tweak each one. 
It was more a process of deciding what I liked about the drums overall and turning up the tracks that provided that, and turning down the tracks that were contributing stuff I didn't like as much.
Lots of processing on subgroups here.
