The big problem is the bad EQ - too much high-end on the overheads, and not enough on the master. And, you're right, the vocals don't work. Otherwise, though, good job.

Thanks for mixing the track ! I really enjoyed the background vocal balance and treatment - what was your reverb choice in this case?

With closed eyes, the cymbals/hi hat/ride do feel a little loud or bright. The lead vocal sounded pretty good to me - perhaps a little more automation on the level? I did feel the compressor working a bit a certain points.

I like the drum mix . only the high ends are a little loud. I like the vocals too. Please check out mine too. Comment on mine too. I am new to mixing stuff.
