My mix on Ambitions

Hello folks !

This one was quite tough ! Drum tracks were not well recorded (those toms....), snare had a lot of bleeds from cymbals... So I replaced toms and snare by midi tracks from Superior Drummer.

Vocals were tricky too. I used 2 compressors : one with fast attack and release, and the second with slow attack and release but with a lot of gain reduction and make up gain.
Vocal rider from Waves is really great to keep them consistent.

I also used Bass rider to keep it consistent as well.

Anyway, I still don't find my mix very good... Tell me what you think.

Aside from far too much compression on the drums, the rest of the mix is great and the balance is just right.

Thanks for your feedback. It looks like I always compress drums too much... Need to fix that !
