Hey Boys and Girls,
this is basicaly my third mix ever.
What I've done:
Step 1: Scooped out parasitic frequencies as best as I can
Step 2: Panned everything the way I like & routhly balaced the instruments
Step 3: Parralel compression of the drums
Bass DI distorted and mixed with the amp signal
Step 4: Adding of Reverb from TC G-Major 2
Mastering:
Step 1: Scooped out the parasitic frequencies as best as I can
Step 2: Tried to do compression but it pumped too much
Tried to do limiting but it also pumped a way too much
Step 3: Ozone 5:
-Panned the mid high band
-Compressed the mids
-Added harmonic exciter to the whole mix (TUBE - around +4dB on each band)
-Maximized everything till -8 dB RMS (according to Ozone 5 it was -7 dB RMS)
Feel free to criticize the mix / master
