Hello Chainsaw,

if you're pretty new at mixing (especially metal) I would say check out this guide here:

http://www.systematicproductions.com/mixing-guide.htm

It's worth every penny and it helped a lot of people out there. Your mix needs a little bit more separation, especially in the low end. the guitars sound very thin. did you boost the upper mids?

check out some other mixes on this forum (e.g. smileys mix, HBguitars mix and Spede also did a good job). Just download them and use them as a reference. you can also use the ref tracks i have mentioned in this thread: http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showt...p?tid=5761

Above all, listen to other mixes in this forum and write down what you think. you can learn something, the other guy learns something too and you will get more feedback for your future mixes.

I can't recommend Mike Senior's "Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio" enough, either. My mixing advanced years in the 2 days it took me to read it.
I'm grateful for comments and suggestions. Thank you for listening!
