I added highs to the harmonica for more frequency dynamics... But maybe it would sit in the mix better if the highs are rolled off? It sounds like olli did that on his version and I quite liked it.
I'm grateful for comments and suggestions. Thank you for listening!

Love, love, love the 1st and 2nd verse...and the climax. But the strings???.....the song sort of goes to sleep....I think you need to be more confident with them...both with the mixing and the overall level....think of it like a guitar solo..its sort of needs to deliver emotionally

My advice...mix them as an ensemble at full volume..ie. violin 1, 2, viola, cello and bass....pan accordingly....then adjust buss volume to suit...automate as required. You've probably done most of this already...but it sounds to me more like a random collection of strings than a string section.

That said...its a challenge to maintain interest through the middle section, no matter what you do, especially once we lose the pizzicato bass....its an arrangement issue as much as anything

Good job
