Thanks, glad you liked the song!
I notice you’re having some of the same big phase issues with the gits as some others were having (for example, right git 0:05-0:08). The issue is coming from the combination of the mics – see info and tips in my info posts and feedback on some of the other mixes. If you prefer, I’ll provide feedback after you have addressed those, let me know.

hi empty signifier, thanks for you answer.
i use only two tracks of your guitars.
im old "traditional" guy and dont like "additionals" in recording. if you have a good sound and a good song, one mic is enough.
for me, and my taste, of course. Smile
and when i listen to my mix of your song in mono, i don't hear any significant loss.
so for hobby use, it's enough. Wink

All good, dryfat.

Overall, I think your mix does have nice oldschool-y vibe with pretty good balance, although the bass guitar is taking up a bit too much room. The mix is a little muffled and the dynamics processing is sometimes reducing the impact a bit.

Drums sound good. Overall, perhaps a bit lacking definition – I guess that might be due to some distortion/clipping/saturation being introduced somewhere (could come from compression). Kick and snare have a nice tonality. Cymbals are getting lost, a bit more overheads would be nice.

I like the kind of compression treatment you gave the bass. It’s a bit sloppy, but in a way that works well with this song. I do think the bass has too much low -end energy and maybe also a bit too much low-mids. I think a little more aggressive reductive eq might really help opening up some space for both drums and gits, and also reduce some of the pumping at the 2 bus. Just a high-pass at around 50-80hz might already help a lot.

Gits have some issues as noted, especially noticeable on headphones as wonky stereo field artefacts. Otherwise, they sound pretty good.
For my taste, I would prefer them with a bit more 1-1.5k for a bit more articulation and weight.

Vocs sound good tonally. They miss some impact in places where I would expect it (e.g. the high shouty bits) and sometimes they get buried a bit too much. Not sure wether that’s just an issue of riding the levels more, or whether theres also some compression/limiting being triggered in a not so helpful way.

Thanks for mixing!
