Just imposed myself to mix this in one hour, starting from pre-existing settings of James May's songs.
- same approach as previous James' mixes: PT stock compression and eq, some tracks with UAD SSL channel strip, most stems with UAD 1176 comp/lim, Lexi and EMT plate revs.
- PSP master comp and PSP vintage warmer on master buss.
- no automation yet
Anyway mandolins and cellos and these interesting drum tracks are a different beast from previous James' mixes. This version 1 will need a review.
ahh - done on headset - studio is far away tonight - but I hope I now know my headset well enough.
AFTER bouncing, I read Mike's comments and auditioned some other mixes. Uhm... some good proposal competing here
