You mentioned the original version of the track, it seems you missed the actual original. Personally my brain was permanently broken after hearing the original, and when i think of it can only sing the chorus like this. Consider yourself warned.

Love that. It really is one of those songs that gets totally destroyed in the major! There's a friend of mine who likes doing the same with Hit The Road Jack, and that's pretty bad too.

Interesting discussion!

Possibly a little controversial. This is the original (unreleased) version that I remember.  It was recently remastered in 2022.  I recall it was originally a very limited white label vinyl.  I had to wait a while for the full commercial release to figure out what the track actually was and to be able to grab a copy of the CD single (which I still have). 

It's one of those rare tracks that I clearly remember exactly where I was when I first heard it.  It was in the basement of a club in the small hours, the track dropped at the perfect moment and the place absolutely went off.  Some tracks just sound amazing on a big club system that's being pushed to the limit.  Sometimes it's not so much about the dynamic range, it's how it makes you feel.
