Corine, Corine - Hot Milk Studio Mix

This was fun! I'm a jazz fan and have mixed small group sessions quite a few times but this was my first attempt at big band jazz. I went for an open sound, quite modern but not squashed and not hyper-brilliant. There is an issue I've had with all of the Telefunken tracks I've mixed until now: the mics seem to impart midrange resonances that are not always complementary to the sources. But in this case the mic'ing was not that close and the problem seemed to be less severe than in some of the other mixes I've tried in this series.

This mix utilizes some outboard from Tegeler Audio, notably the Magnetismus on drum bus and the EQP-1 and Crème (only the VCA compressor) on 2-bus.
